BARAKA DAN HABBATUS SAUDA

BARAKA


BARAKA dihasilkan daripada ekstrak benih ‘nigella sativa’ atau lebih dikenali sebagai habbatus-sauda atau benih hitam ataupun “cumin” hitam.
Penggunaan BARAKA sebagai ‘SUPPLEMENT’ untuk merawat penyakit kanser bagi mengurangkan kesan sampingan ‘chemoteraphy’ juga dapat menambah daya imunisasi di dalam badan.

HABATUS SAUDA


Habbatus Sauda ialah sejenis tumbuhan yang banyak didapati di kawasan Mediterranean dan di kawasan yang beriklim gurun. Banyak kajian telah dijalankan. Bagaimanapun kebanyakkannya ditulis di dalam Bahasa Arab, oleh itu pendedahan terhadap dunia antarabangsa tidak banyak dibuat.

Habbatus Sauda digunakan secara tradisional untuk beberapa keadaan seperti untuk menghasilkan kulit muka yang cerah, membantu merawat batuk dan asma, kencing manis, selsema, keguguran rambut, tekanan darah tinggi, masalah untuk tidur, sakit-sakit otot dan sendi, rasa loya dan muntah, mengurangkan kolesterol, merawat batu karang dan sebagainya.
 

Nabi Muhammad S.A.W. bersabda dalam Haditsnya yang dikutip dari kitab Ash Shahihain ''Gunakanlah Habbatus Sauda' kerana di dalamnya terdapat sejenis ubat dari segala jenis macam penyakit kecuali As Sam (maut)" (HR.Bukhari, Muslim)

Ibnu Sina di dalam bukunya Canon of Medicine menyatakan Habbatus Sauda ...... merangsang tenaga dan membantu pemulihan kepenatan dan semangat.
 

Ibnu Qayyim di dalam bukunya Medicine of the Prophet menyatakan Habbatus Sauda berupaya memulihkan penyakit-penyakit seperti batuk, bronchitits, masalah perut, kecacingan, masalah kulit seperti jerawat, sakit senggugut dan haid yang lain, menambah susu badan, menambah pengaliran air liur dan sebagainya.

Dr Ahmad Elkadi pula membuat kajian dan mendapati Habbatus Sauda mempertingkatkan daya tahan sakit (immune system).
 

Antara bahan-bahan kandungan Habbatus Sauda ialah Fixed Oil (saturated dan unsaturated), Minyak-minyak Asas (sterol, thymohydroquinone, carvone, limonine, cymene), Alkaloids, Saponin dan Asid Amino.

Dalam kitab Al Tibb An-Nabawi (Pengobatan Cara Nabi) yang ditulis Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jauziyyah, Habbatus Sauda' dikenal juga sebagai Al Habbah Al Barokah. Dalam kitab tersebut disebutkan bahwa Habbatus Sauda' dapat mengubati 50 macam penyakit tanpa efek.
Suatu ulasan ilmu kedoktoran menampilkan bahawa kandungan Habbatus Sauda' antara lain:
  • Antiinflamasi, mengubati perih/radang tenggorokan.
  • Antiarthritis, mengubati reumatik.
  • Analgesik, mengubati sakit gigi dan sakit kepala (migrain).
  • Aktivitas hormon, mengatur haid dan meningkatkan aliran susu.
  • Antiseptik, mengubati bau mulut.
  • Antivirus, mengubati demam dan flu.
  • Dermatologi, mengubati jerawat dan eksim.
  • Urinary tract, mengubati saluran kemih dan batu ginjal.
  • Sistem kekebalan, meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh untuk menangkal penyakit.
  • Gastrointestinal tract, mengubati mabuk, diare, kejang konstipasi, dan empedu.
  • Sistem sirkulasi, meningkatkan kinerja jantung.

FAKTA MENGENAI HABBATUS- SAUDA
Hasil Kajian Di Amerika, Nigella Sativa yang merupakan nama latin dari minyak jintan hitam, telah mendapat kejayan luar biasa sebagai makanan suplemen.

Analisis ekstrak mengenai minyak dan kesan-kesannya juga telah dilakukan di Amerika dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa minyak kuno itu juga mujarab untuk segala macam penyakit. Para saintis Amerika telah merasa yakin bahawa kesan antibakteria dan antimikotis dari minyak habbasSauda yang merupakan ubat Asia Timur dan di Asia berlangsung dalam waktu yang lama. Para doktor di Mesir dan China menggunakannya untuk segala macam radang serta infeksi . Bahkan, para ilmuwan cancer Amerika telah membuktikan bahawa minyak habbasSauda menurunkan kadar gula.

Ekstrak Nigella Sativa membantu merangsang tulang sumsum dan sel-sel kekebalan. Demikian tulisan para ilmuwan cancer Immuno-Biology Laboratory dari Carolina Selatan. Seluruh fungsi ini menyebabkan minyak habbasSauda sebagai calon (alternatif) yang ideal untuk pencegahan dan pengubatan cancer. Para ilmuwan Amerika telah memplubikasikan buku yang pertama mengenai penemuan "Study Of Black Cumin Oil On Human". Para ilmuwan di Jerman kini juga sibuk menemukan kesan-kesan minyak Mesir yang berkaitan dengan tubuh manusia.
Dr. Med. Peter Schleicher, ahli immunolog di Munich yang pada 1986 telah dinominasikan sebagai anggota termuda World Academy Scientists, menguji minyak habbasSaudauntuk menemukan terapi baru bagi penyakit kronik dan kesan-kesannya.
Di samping fungsi sel yang berlebihan pada orang yang menderita alergi distabilkan, melalui zat minyak habbasSauda antibodi juga ditekan. Sistem kekebalan yang berlebihan pada kajian (ilmuwan) Amerika juga menguji bahawa sistem kekebalan yang salah dapat diatur kembali dengan kesan yang kuat dari minyak ini. Sementara itu, Scheleicher telah menguji kesan minyak ini terhadap 600 pesakit. Sebagai hasilnya, dia meyakinkan pengubatan untuk alergi sekitar 70% dari pesakitnya. Di antara mereka adalah alergi terhadap serbuk dan debu serta jerawat dan penyakit neuro-dermatologis. Pesakit asma dan lainnya pada umumnya memiliki ketahanan yang lemah dan mudah terkena infeksi. Dari alasan itu Dr. Schleicher di Munich akan memasukkan minyak itu ke dalam pengubatan preventifnya terhadap pilek dan influenza.
Di Timur Tengah, minyak ini telah digunakan selama ribuan tahun sebagai ubat untuk segala macam penyakit alergi, radang, gangguan menstruasi, tekanan moral, dan depresi, tetapi terutama terhadap bronkhitis, asma, dan neurodermatitis serta pencernaan yang buruk, bahkan impotensi.

Ciri-ciri utama Habbatus Sauda:

1. Nilai pemakanan
Habbatus Sauda kaya dengan:
monosaccharide glukosa, xylosa dsb. Polysaccharide fatty acid yang tidak tepu (unsaturated essential fatty acids, EFA). EFA tidak boleh dihasilkan oleh badan kita, oleh itu sumber utamanya ialah dari pemakanan amino acid yang membentuk protein karotene iaitu sumber vitamin A kalsium, zat besi, dsb.

2. Sistem imunisasi
Kajian yang dilakukan di Arab Saudi mendapati, habbatus Sauda berupaya meningkatkan sistem imunisasi anda (daya melawan penyakit). Oleh itu ia mungkin penting dalam pengawalan kanser, AIDS dan penyakit-penyakit berkaitan yang lain.

3. Anti-histamine
Histamine ialah bahan yang dikeluarkan oleh sel-sel mast di dalam badan yang menyebabkan kesan-kesan allergik (alahan). Habbatus Sauda mengandungi bahan yang menghalang protein kinase C, sejenis bahan yang mencetus penghasilan histamine. Oleh kerana penghidap penyakit asma selalunya mengalami masalah alahan, habbatus Sauda mungkin baik diambil secara berterusan oleh pesakit-pesakit ini.

4. Anti-tumor
Kajian in vitro mendapati habbatus Sauda berupaya menghalang pembentukan sel-sel tumor. Oleh itu, ia baik untuk digunakan untuk membantu menghalang penyakit kanser.

5. Anti-bakteria
Penyelidikan ke atas bahan ini mendapati ia mempunyai aktiviti anti-bakteria . Habbatus Sauda didapati berupaya mengawal bakteria seperti E.coli, V.cholera dan spesies Shigella. Ini bermakna habbatus Sauda baik untuk mereka yang menghidapi beberapa jenis penyakit seperti cirit-birit dan masalah-masalah perut yang lain.

6. Anti-radang (anti-inflammation)
Habbatus Sauda didapati boleh mengurangkan radang (bengkak). Oleh itu ia baik untuk pesakit asma (mengurangkan radang dalam paru-paru), eczema (alahan yang menyebabkan gatal, kulit merah dsb.) dan arthritis (bengkak sendi).


 Dari Jabir Radhiyallahu ‘anhu, Rasulullah Salallahu ‘alaihi wassalam bersabda:
“Setiap penyakit itu pasti ada ubatnya. Oleh kerana itu, barangsiapa yang tepat dalam melakukan pengubatan suatu penyakit , maka dengan izin Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla dia akan sembuh.”
(HR. Muslim, dalam kitab as-Salaam bab Li Kulli Dawaa wa Istihbabut Tadaawii, hadis no 2204.)

Dalam kejadian kita berikhtiar dalam mencari ubatnya dengan usaha yang maksimal. Dalam usaha kita mengubati penyakit yang dideritai, kita seharusnya memperhatikan 2 perkara:

Pertama:
Bahawa ubat dan doktor hanya saranan kesembuhan, sedangkan yang benar-benar menyembuhkan adalah Allah Subhana wa Ta’ala.

Kedua:
Ikhtiar tersebut tidak boleh dilakukan dengan cara-cara haram dan syirik seperti berubat dengan menggunakan ubat yang terlarang atau barang-barang yang haram kerana Allah tidak menjadikan penyembuhan dengan cara yang haram. Dan tidak boleh pula berubat dengan hal-hal yg syirik sprt mendatangi dukun, tukang sihir, paranormal dan lain-lain shg dapat mengakibatkan jatuh ke dalam syirik dan dosa besar yang paling besar.

Health and Medicinal Benefits of Garlic

What is Garlic?
One of the the spices that has been used for many years is garlic. Garlic belongs to the same family with onion and leek. In addition to culinary purposes, garlic has been used for medicinal purposes.

Health Benefits of Garlic
Potential Antibiotic
Garlic is well known to have antibiotic properties. This has been known since 19th Century. In those years, it was observed that French priests who consumed garlic never caught infectious diseases which were prevalent to English priests. Although garlic can sometimes inhibit specific bacteria it’s activity is broad spectrum. This means that garlic can inhibit bacteria belonging to different classes. I am not going into naming specific bacteria in this article. But know very well that garlic is almost a super natural antibiotic.
Recent studies (as recent as 2003) have confirmed that garlic is a potential antibiotic even to drug resistant bacteria.This is the main advantage of garlic over antibiotics in that, bacteria do not become resistant to it (garlic).
It is proved that one segment (clove) of garlic a day will improve your health and 2-3 segments (cloves) will help prevent a cold.

Cardiovascular Benefits
Garlic is a major constituent in foods of people from Mediterranean and far East. The people from these areas are known to have low incidences of cardiovascular diseases such as stroke and heart attack. This is highly attributed to their eating habits, including high consumption of garlic.
There are also numerous scientific studies showing that, consumption of garlic helps in reduction of cholesterol levels and production of nitric oxide which is beneficial to the body. Due to these benefits, garlic is a food that helps prevent heart attack, stroke and diabetic heart diseases.

-Reducing blood pressure- Research has shown that consuming garlic can reduce the blood pressure by 1-5%. This small reduction in blood pressure can help reduce chances of stroke and heart diseases by 30-40% and 20-25% respectively.
 
-Reduce LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol)- The allicin compound in garlic helps to reduce this bad cholesterol. As a natural remedy, taking garlic regularly is a good remedy to cholesterol problems.

Acne problems: Garlic in combination with other treatments can be used to treat acne. Garlic works in treating acne due to its antioxidant and blood cleansing properties.

Nutrients present in Garlic
Garlic is a very good source of many vitamins and minerals which are essential in our bodies. I have listed the major ones below.
Vitamin C- This is a major antioxidant in the body.
Vitamin B6- This helps the body against heart diseases.
Manganese- Acts as a co-factor in many antioxidant defense enzymes. Deficiency of manganese can lead to low levels of good cholesterol (HDL cholesterol).
Selenium-This mineral helps prevent heart disease and colon cancer.

Ways to Prepare Garlic to achieve maximum Benefits
In order to enjoy maximum flavour, aroma and health benefits, it is always advisable to use or buy fresh garlic. Other forms like powder, paste maybe convenient, but there is no assurance of maximum benefits.
1. First step is to separate individual cloves.
2. Remove the skin from the cloves
3. Crushing or chopping garlic helps production of allicin. This is the compound which is responsible for the most benefits in garlic.
4. Allow few minutes after chopping/crushing for complete production of the allicin (the compound responsible for most benefits) before consumption or cooking.
5. For maximum health benefits, crush and cook slightly less than 10 minutes.
6. Always add garlic in the last 10 minutes of cooking to enjoy maximum benefits.

Effects of cooking on Health benefits of Garlic
Slight cooking has no effect of health benefits of garlic. However cooking for long (over 10 mins) or microwaving causes loss of the key health benefits from garlic.

Disadvantages of Garlic
Many do not like garlic for the strong garlic breath it leaves in our mouth. This can be overcome by consuming odorless garlic supplement
Garlic consumption can sometime irritate the digestive system. It should therefore be consumed as part of a balanced diet.

Health Benefits, Medicinal properties and Industrial uses of Pumpkin



Following my previous article on pumpkin as a super food, this article discusses the medicinal properties, health benefits and industrial uses of pumpkin.


Medicinal properties of pumpkin.

Traditionally, pumpkin was used for medicinal purposes in Mexico, China, America and Africa. The medicinal properties of pumpkins are normally obtained from either the extract from the stem, leaves, fruit or seeds.


Antioxidant properties

Oxidative stress can lead to production of unwanted radicals leading to health complications such as heart diseases, Alzheimer’s diseases, as well as cancers.

Oxidative stresses arise due to high levels of pro-oxidants in the body compared to antioxidants. The body therefore requires a way of generating additional antioxidants to counter the pro-oxidants. Various foods including pumpkin offer the much needed antioxidants to ameliorate the effects of excess pro-oxidants.

In 2009 scientists from Greece showed that pumpkin seeds are very rich in antioxidants and has a high content of vitamin E (tocopherol) which is also a very good antioxidant.


Anticancer properties

Until very recently pumpkin was not considered in the same league with other powerful anti-cancer foods such as tomatoes.

The carotenoid pigments found in pumpkin seeds oil have been linked to the prevention of prostate cancer.

A very big group of cancer patients from Nagoya, Japan, totalling 8,000, suffering from gastric, breast, lung and colorectal cancer together with 50,000 non-cancer outpatients were compared in terms of what they eat and the link/absence of cancer for 10 years, between 1988 and 1998.

Those that consumed diets high in pumpkin seeds showed lower risk of gastric, breast, lung and colorectal cancers.


Antidiabetic

The big headed fruit is an unsung hero when it comes to tackling diabetes, one of the modern man’s ailments.

Traditionally, pumpkin was used for treating type 2 diabetes in Mexico where the traditional healers administered crude extract of the pumpkin fruit to the patients.

In 2001, Acosta-Patino and his team from IMSS, Claudia University in Mexico, administered pumpkin extract orally to type 2 diabetes patients with moderate hyperglaecemia (elevated blood sugar). The patients showed positive results of reduced blood sugar.

Various studies with chemically-induced diabetes in rats have also confirmed that pumpkin extracts have blood-sugar lowering effect.

The chemicals that are thought to play the role of lowering blood sugar are phenolic phytochemicals and protein bound polysaccharides.

Protein-bound polysaccharide from pumpkin fruits were specifically evaluated for blood sugar lowering activity and effects on serum insulin levels in artificially -diabetic induced rats. It was found out that protein bound polysaccharide have three very important effects on the temporarily sick rats. These are: to increase the levels of serum insulin, reduce the blood glucose levels and improve tolerance of glucose.


Antibacterial and anti-parasitic

Use of pumpkin seed for treatment of tapeworms and other intestinal parasite date back to many years.

Traditional use of seeds for the treatment of intestinal infections led the United States Pharmacopoeia to list pumpkin seeds as an official medicine for parasite elimination from 1863 to 1936.

More recently, a research conducted in China and Russia showed that pumpkin seeds help treat tapeworm infestations.

In China pumpkin seeds were used to be treat people with acute schistosomiasis, a severe parasitic disease that is transmitted through snails.

Presently, there are very good interventions against bacterial infections in form of antibiotics. However, the misuse of antibiotics is causing some bacteria to become resistant warranting development of new drugs or turning to natural remedies.

Proteins and oil extracted from pumpkin seeds are good candidates for such drugs since they inhibit growth of wide range of bacteria, fungi and yeast.


Anti-bladderstone

Two trials in Thailand have reportedly found that eating pumpkin seeds as a snack can help prevent the most common type of kidney stones.

Pumpkin seeds appear to both reduce levels of substances that promote stone formation in the urine and increase levels of substances that inhibit stone formation.

Approximately 5–10 grams per day of pumpkin seeds may be needed for kidney stone prevention. However, the active constituents of pumpkin seeds responsible for this action have not yet been identified.


Antidepressant

Due to high levels of tryptophan content in pumpkin seeds, the seeds have been recommended to treat depression.

Tryptophan is an amino acid that raises levels of serotonin ‘happiness-inducing   hormone’ in the brain.


Anti-inflammatory

In 1995, Fahim, from University of Cairo, Egypt showed that oil extracted from pumpkin seeds has anti-inflammatory properties similar to indometacin, a well known anti-inflammatory drug.

Fahim and his colleagues effectively treated rats experiencing artificially-induced arthritis using pumpkin seeds oil, confirming that the pumpkin seed oil has strong anti-inflammatory properties.

The fact that modern and processed foods are increasingly begging many questions as far as their effects on health are concerned, traditional foods such as pumpkin are receiving and will continue to attract attention as natural and better alternatives.

High nutrients and medicinal properties in pumpkin leaves, fruit and seeds make it an attractive health food proposition.


Industrial utilization of pumpkin

Generally pumpkin is under-utilized and under valued, although it can be converted to commercially valuable products such as purees, jams and marmalades.

In 1972, Stephanie Lapinig was among the first to seriously explore the commercialisation of pumpkins by obtaining a patent in US for converting pumpkin mesocarp into sour and sweet pickle.

The patent involves chilling pumpkin in high salt concentration for over 5 hours to obtain crispiness. This is followed by addition of vinegar and sugar.

Others have followed the steps of Stephanie including Egbekun from Nigeria school of Technology who successfully developed a pumpkin marmalade with no difference in sensory attributes such as taste, spreadability and overall acceptability when compared to orange marmalade.

Wanita....
Auratnya lebih susah dijaga berbanding lelaki. Perlu meminta izin dari suaminya apabila mahu keluar rumah tetapi tidak sebaliknya. Saksinya kurang berbanding lelaki. Menerima pusaka kurang dari lelaki.

Perlu menghadapi kesusahan mengandung dan melahirkan anak.

Wajib taat kepada suaminya tetapi suami tak perlu taat pada isterinya. Talak terletak di tangan suami dan bukan isteri. Wanita kurang dalam beribadat kerana masalah haid dan nifas yang tak ada pada lelaki.

Pernahkah kita lihat sebaliknya??
Benda yang mahal harganya akan dijaga dan dibelai serta disimpan ditempat yang tersorok dan selamat. Sudah pasti intan permata tidak akan dibiar bersepah-sepah bukan? Itulah bandingannya dengan seorang wanita.

Wanita perlu taat kepada suami tetapi lelaki wajib taat kepada ibunya 3 kali lebih utama dari bapanya . Bukankah ibu adalah seorang wanita ?

Wanita menerima pusaka kurang dari lelaki tetapi harta itu menjadi milik peribadinya dan tidak perlu diserahkan kepada suaminya , manakala lelaki menerima pusaka perlu menggunakan hartanya untuk menyara isteri dan
anak-anak.

Wanita perlu bersusah payah mengandung dan melahirkan anak, tetapi setiap saat dia didoakan oleh segala haiwan, malaikat dan seluruh makhluk ALLAH di mukabumi ini, dan matinya jika kerana melahirkan adalah syahid kecil. Manakala dosanya diampun ALLAH (dosa kecil).

Di akhirat kelak, seorang lelaki akan dipertanggungjawabk an terhadap 4 wanita :
1. ibunya ,
2. isterinya ,
3.anak perempuannya , dan
4. saudara perempuannya.

Manakala seorang wanita pula, tanggungjawab terhadapnya ditanggung oleh 4 org lelaki ini :
1. suaminya,
2. ayahnya,
3. anak lelakinya dan
4. saudara lelakinya .

Seorang wanita boleh memasuki pintu Syurga melalui mana-mana pintu Syurga yg disukainya cukup dengan 4 syarat sahaja :
1. sembahyang 5 waktu
2. puasa di bulan Ramadhan
3. taat suaminya dan
4. menjaga kehormatannya .

Seorang lelaki perlu pergi berjihad fisabilillah tetapi wanita jika taat akan suaminya serta menunaikan tanggungjawabnya kepada ALLAH akan turut menerima pahala seperti pahala orang pergi berperang fisabilillah tanpa perlu mengangkat senjata.
Mas yaALLAH.. .sayangnya ALLAH pada wanita ....

Seorang wanita adalah pelengkap dan sememangnya istimewa di sisi seorang lelaki , tetapi ingatlah wahai lelaki...kamu sebenarnya adalah istimewa disisi Allah, maka dengan sebab itu DIA mengangkat kamu menjadi
pemimpin...maka dengan keistimewaan itu, JAGALAH dan HARGAILAH wanita sebaik-baiknya. supaya kelak masing2 lelaki dan wanita dapat pulang mengadap Allah dalam keadaan istimewa disisiNYA..
